| TealDoc is a document reader. As with my other reviews of document readers - this is a good reader and poor editor. If you want to read simple MS Word files, than TealDoc does the job pretty well. You'll have to convert the word file though into one that is readable by TealDoc. The website lists several third party software that will create readable doc files from Word, text, and even html. You can of course read docs using competitor applications that have their own converters like like MegaDoc or TomeRaider. Like all other document readers, very complex documents have pretty much no chance of keeping their original formatting once converted. Tables, macros, fields and any fancy formatting is completely lost. So be aware that this is a good tool to read documents, but you should be aware of the limitations. A great bonus to the application is the host of third party documents and e-books available for TealDoc. There literally hundreds for you to choose from. This alone is a key benefit over other lesser known readers. |
