General - Annual BBQ
WOW! Two years. 25 meetings (well, nearly 50 if you count two meetings per month!). September 2000 marks the second anniversary of Canada's Premier PUG and also the end of its reign as the ONLY Palm User Group in Canada. But we are still and always shall remain the first PUG in Canada, for we ARE CanadaPUG! :)
It has been a great 2 years since I started this group and I am quite proud of how successful it has become. Without all the faithful members of this group, it wouldn't be what it is today. Our first meeting, September 5th, 1998, hosted 10 members. Now we are cramming 25 or more members each month into Pizza Hut! We currently have over 50 participating members of the group and well over 200 newsletter members! We also have a very long list of Sponsors who have supported us over the last two years. CanadaPUG has been a great success and it doesn't seem to be slowing down.
The purpose of this Annual BBQ is to thank not only the members for making the Group what it is today, but, most of all, to thank our families for becoming the Palm Widow and Palm Widowers that they have become over the years. Without their support, I'm sure we wouldn't be here either. I can certainly say that my wife and children have allowed me alot of time and space in regards to planning and attending these meetings (twice a month) and I am thankful for them.
So, (hold up your glasses), here's to two great years of CanadaPUG and to many more years to come! Thank you all!
Respectfully,
Sean D. Evans

Thanks to Kenny Delaney and his family for hosting this year's BBQ in one great big backyard. That was one hell of a BBQ!!
The only topic on our minds this month was food, food, and more food. This marks are Second Annual PUG Family BBQ and no topic was discussed. We just had a great time with family, friends and lots of food.
Next month we will return to our regularly scheduled broadcast. Until then, enjoy the following cartoons:
