This month we had three word processing applications demonstrated, Quickoffice, MegaDoc, and WordSmith, along with two button launcher applications, TBLight and HanDButton.
Quickoffice:
... is comprised of Quicksheet, Quickword, and Quickchart. We looked at Quicksheet this month as it fit in with the main word processing theme. Quickword gives users the ability to create, view and edit Word compatible text documents on their Palm. Features include fonts, integration into MS Word, import/export, and more. MegaDoc:
... is a text and document editor and viewer with a desktop manager for transferring between your PC and Palm. Editing features include fonts, alignment choices, and others. For a complete list of features click here.
WordSmith:
... is an intuitive and full-featured word processor, doc viewer and enhanced memo pad co-developed by Blue Nomad and Quik Sense Software, LLC. Features include fonts, alignment choices, Jog Dial support, and more. For a complete list of features click here.
Miscellaneous
HanDButton:
... allows you to set up a list of your most frequently used applications that you can switch between using a hardware button. For a complete list of features click here.
TBLight:
... is an application that allows you to assign multiple applications to a single button. This allows for faster navigation from app. to app without giving up your buttons. For a complete list of features click here.
Alvin Chin brought two Visors fitted with Bluetooth Springboard modules. This was quite the attention grabber. We were able to wonder around the Pizza Hut and still stay in contact. It is easy to see the potential of this technology.
